My friend was looking for an alternative idea for her works Christmas party and was talking about it in the local pub last week. One of the gang suggested that she organise a Rat Pack Christmas. At first she had no idea what a Rat Pack Christmas was and it had to be explained to her. However, when she realised what was involved, she thought it was a great idea. We had great fun imagining her bosses dancing away to a Rat Pack Christmas and she promised she was going to tout the idea around the office the next day. The idea was that if she got enough support from the rest of the staff, that the motion would be carried without the management having any chance to complain. I said that I wished her well and I really thought it would be a success because of the novelty value. Everybody seems to do the same thing for every Christmas party ? go to the pub and then have a meal. I thought this was a real change and something that people would enjoy trying. It will be really interesting to find out how she goes on.
